EBAA

EBAA in Brief

The Earth Building Association of Australia (EBAA) is an organisation formed to promote the use of Unfired Earth as a building medium throughout Australia.
EBAA is a broad based organisation which has members that include builders, specialist contractors, tradespeople and ownerbuilders, specialist manufacturers and suppliers, architects and designers, consultants, educators and students, with a common interest in the use of Unfired Earth .
The formation of EBAA commenced in 1990 at a gathering held in Maldon, Victoria. A subsequent meeting took place in Mildura, Victoria in 1991 which elected the first Committee of EBAA. Since then the primary focus of the Association has been communicating constructively with all levels of Government concerned with the regulation of Building practice in Australia as well as educating and informing our membership and the public.
Our association has a strong national focus and is the peak body for Earth Building practitioners, both private & commercial, in Australia. Membership is open to all with an interest in earth building.

Benefits of Membership

All members will benefit from being represented and kept informed. To this end all members receive our quarterly news letter "Dirt". "Dirt", is designed to inform and educate the membership on the current issues relevant to Earth Building in Australia, as well as inspiring readers with examples of Earth constructions currently being undertaken and included an e-mail Newsletter list. Members also have the opportunity to meet others, from all over Australia, with the same interest and passion for earth building and are able to access and contribute to a great wealth of knowledge and experience.

Business Members are entitled to use the EBAA Member Logo in their marketing material and stationery and if they wish will be listed in our services directory on this site.

Associate Members will be able to work with us towards mutual goals, have input into our direction and keep their own membership informed of our efforts.

Friends of EBAA will receive a copy of “Dirt” via email to keep them informed and be included in the e-mail Newsletter list , but have no voting rights or membership discount entitlements. All the money collected from friends goes directly to research.
