Peter Hickson
Peter Hickson is a master builder and one of Australia’s leading advocates for earth building. With 43 years of experience in design, construction, writing, education, research, innovation, promotion, leadership, and community development, Peter has significantly contributed to the field both in Australia and internationally. He is a founding member of the Earth Building Association of Australia (EBAA) and has served on its committee as president for the past 15 years.
Peter’s business, Earth Building Solutions, offers a range of services, including building, training, and consultancy. His extensive practical experience has equipped him to work on the refurbishment, repair, and maintenance of old and historic earth buildings. One of his most notable projects involved repairing and refurbishing the mudbrick walls at the Uluru Cultural Centre, which stands as a testament to his dedication and expertise in earth building.
